If you want the white Cloud White/Solar Red/Core Black Dropset Elite, adidas.com and Stadium Goods are both out as of 14 October 2026 and the only route left is a US$360 eBay ask — US$85 over list, which is a lot for a colourway. If you just want the shoe, DICK'S at US$274.99 and Road Runner Sports at US$274.95 are effectively list price and worth a look before adidas.com. Importing from the UK is dead on arrival: adidas.co.uk's £230 converts to US$304.89 before shipping or duty. If US$275 was always a stretch, the US$150 Adizero Dropset Pro is the comparison to make.
The adidas Adizero Dropset Elite has not moved off US$275 in the five months since its US launch, and as of 14 October 2026 the white colourway is gone from adidas.com entirely. The two other US retailers I could price it at are selling the same shoe for a few cents less — US$274.99 and US$274.95 — which is list price with a rounding error, not a deal.
This is a pricing and availability check, not a review. I have not worn, weighed or raced in this shoe, and nothing below is a judgement on how it performs.
What adidas.com shows today
The adidas US Adizero Dropset collection page lists the Adizero Dropset Elite at US$275 across two colourways, checked 14 October 2026. The product page for the white pair — Cloud White / Solar Red / Core Black, article code LA6218 — reads “Catch it next time. Unfortunately this item is sold out”, and its embedded product data returns an availability status of OutOfStock at a price of 275 USD. No sizes in white are buyable from adidas directly.
The surviving colourway is Dash Grey / Night Grey / Solar Turbo. A release tracker dates that version (SKU HQ5480) to 1 September 2026 at the same US$275.
One thing worth knowing before you go hunting for a code: a longer-form adidas US page for LA6218 carries the line “This item is excluded from most promotions”. That page is older than today’s check — the search index dates it to roughly 188 days — but it is consistent with the price never moving.
The other US retailers
Two authorised US sellers list the Elite below adidas’ own US$275, by pennies.
| Retailer | Price (14 Oct 2026) | Colourway | Stock note |
|---|---|---|---|
| adidas.com US | US$275 | 2 colours listed | White LA6218 sold out |
| DICK’S Sporting Goods | US$274.99 | Dash Grey/Night Grey/Solar | Two sizes flagged BackOrder |
| Road Runner Sports | US$274.95 | not established | not established |
| Stadium Goods | — | White LA6218 | Sold out |
| eBay, third-party seller | US$360 | White LA6218, new with box | Resale ask |
The DICK’S backorder flag needs a caveat. Only two size variants were exposed in the page data I could read — M9.5/W10.5 and M11.0/W12.0 — and both were marked BackOrder. That tells you nothing about the rest of the size run. I could not retrieve a full size grid from DICK’S, from adidas.com for the grey colourway, or from Road Runner Sports, so I am not going to list which sizes are gone. If you need a specific size today, you will have to check it yourself.
The eBay figure is the one that makes the point. A new-in-box white pair is being asked at US$360 — an US$85 premium over a list price that has not changed, on a shoe that two retailers will sell you in grey for under US$275.

Importing it is worse before duty is even counted
The usual move when a US colourway sells out is to look at a European store. That does not work here, and the arithmetic kills it before shipping enters the picture.
adidas.co.uk’s Dropset page lists the Elite at £230. At the 14 October 2026 GBP/USD rate of 1.3256 (Macrotrends; Trading Economics quoted 1.3266 the same day) that is US$304.89 — US$29.89 above adidas’ US list and US$29.90 above the DICK’S price, before a penny of postage.
There is also no de minimis escape hatch any more. US Customs and Border Protection’s interim final rule of 24 June 2026 indefinitely suspends the US$800 exemption for merchandise arriving by all modes other than the international post, with a parallel mail rule effective 24 July 2026, following the original suspension effective 29 August 2025. Duty, taxes and fees are collected on a shipment like this regardless of value. We walked through how that changes the sums for imported footwear in the 2026 landed-cost maths.
I am not publishing a full landed cost, because three pieces are missing and I would be guessing at all of them: whether adidas.co.uk ships to a US address at all, whether UK VAT is stripped on export (which would change the base figure), and the applicable US duty rate on imported athletic footwear. I did not read an HTS footwear rate in this session. What I can say is that the base price is already above US retail, so duty and shipping can only make the gap wider.
Two other regional listings came up and neither is usable. adidas Singapore shows the grey HQ5480 at “$359” with no currency marker I could verify, and I did not obtain an SGD rate, so I have left it unconverted. Black Toe Running in Canada lists the white pair at CAD$330; same problem, no rate obtained, no conversion. If you are weighing up a grey-market seller instead, the checks in buying grey-import shoes apply as usual.
The US$150 question
On that same adidas.com collection page today, the Adizero Dropset Pro is US$150 across nine men’s and five women’s colourways. That is roughly 55 per cent of the Elite’s price, with far more colour choice. The Pro’s shelf price is consistent elsewhere too: US$149.99 at DICK’S and US$150 at Zappos.
One caution on that. A cached adidas.com snippet showed the Pro at a sale price of US$120 with a 20 per cent discount flag, but the index dates that page to roughly 231 days old and it does not match the live collection page. I am not treating US$120 as a price anyone can pay today.
For context on where US$275 sits in this category, PUMA’s hybrid racer is US$260 and its trainer US$120 — see PUMA’s HYROX shoes priced. The Elite is at the top of the bracket and has stayed there.
The price has not moved since May
adidas announced US availability from Friday 15 May 2026 at US$275, according to launch coverage, and Stadium Goods records the same 15 May 2026 release date for LA6218. Five months on, adidas.com still shows US$275 on both the live collection page and the sold-out white product page. The September grey launch came in at the same number.
I found no official adidas outlet listing and no verified official discount on the Elite. The cheapest authorised US prices today are DICK’S and Road Runner Sports, and both are pennies off list rather than a markdown.
What I could not confirm
Three gaps, stated plainly rather than papered over.
Size-level stock. adidas.com did not expose a size grid to me for the grey Elite or for any Pro colourway. The only size signal anywhere was the two DICK’S backorder variants. If you need an 11, check directly.
Shipping cost from adidas.com. The adidas Delivery Terms page I opened does not state a free-shipping threshold. Third-party coupon pages claim adiClub members get free standard shipping with no minimum and non-members need about US$50 or pay US$4.99, but that is not adidas’ own wording and I am not presenting it as policy. US$275 is not the out-the-door figure in any case, since sales tax is added at checkout.
Specs. DICK’S lists the Elite at 7.41 ounces with a midsole drop of 0.47 in (heel 1.73 in, forefoot 1.26 in), while a UK review gives 42 mm stack and 12 mm drop at an RRP of £230. Those two sets do not reconcile and I have not measured anything myself, so I am reporting both as claims from their sources and merging neither. If drop numbers matter to how you train, our explainer on heel-to-toe drop covers what the figure does and does not tell you.
