If you want the outgoing PUMA x HYROX Deviate NITRO Elite 3 for the 26/27 season, the US$180 men's listing at Fleet Feet is the only meaningful discount I could find on 12 October 2026 — Puma US is still at the full US$240 launch price, and the Elite 4 sits at US$260 everywhere. Check your size is actually in stock before you plan around it; I could not confirm size-level availability anywhere. Women's buyers have no equivalent markdown that I could source. This is a pricing story, not a review — I have not run in either shoe.
The story I set out to write was that Puma has started clearing the outgoing HYROX race shoe as the 26/27 season gets going. It isn’t. On 12 October 2026 the PUMA x HYROX Deviate NITRO Elite 3 on us.puma.com is still US$240 — the same price StockX records as its retail at the 19 June 2025 release — and the Elite 4 is US$260. A US$20 gap between last season’s racer and this one, at Puma’s own till.
The discount is somewhere else entirely. Fleet Feet lists the men’s Elite 3 HYROX at US$180, marked down from US$240 — a straight shelf price, not a stacked coupon. That is US$60 below Puma on the same shoe and US$80 below the Elite 4.
This is a pricing comparison, not a review. I have not run, raced or lifted in either shoe, and every specification below is the manufacturer’s or the retailer’s claim rather than anything I have measured.
- Elite 3 HYROX, Puma US
- US$240.00
- Elite 3 HYROX, Fleet Feet (men's)
- US$180.00
- Elite 4 HYROX, Puma US
- US$260.00
Prices checked 12 October 2026. US state sales tax is added at checkout and is not included; Puma US shows a site banner offering free shipping on orders over US$60, so both shoes ship free at these prices.
Every US price I could source, 12 October 2026
| Shoe | Retailer | Price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Elite 3 HYROX, men’s | Fleet Feet | 180.00 |
| Elite 3 HYROX, men’s | Shoebacca | 239.95 |
| Elite 3 HYROX, men’s | PUMA US | 240.00 |
| Elite 3 HYROX, women’s | PUMA US | 240.00 |
| Elite 4 HYROX, men’s | Running Warehouse | 259.95 |
| Elite 4 HYROX, men’s | Dick’s Sporting Goods | 259.99 |
| Elite 4 HYROX, men’s | PUMA US | 260.00 |
| Elite 4 HYROX, women’s | PUMA US | 260.00 |
Two things fall out of that table.
First, nobody is really competing on the new shoe. Dick’s undercuts Puma by a cent and Running Warehouse by five cents. That is pricing designed to match, not to win, and it means there is no point shopping around for the Elite 4 — buy wherever your size is.
Second, the Elite 3 discount is a single retailer’s decision. Shoebacca is at US$239.95, five cents under Puma. Fleet Feet is US$59.95 under Shoebacca. I could not establish an Amazon price for either model — the only Amazon pages I could read were search listings with no price attached to the item — so I have left Amazon out rather than guess.
The US$260 is not a one-SKU oddity either: a second Elite 4 colourway carries the same US$260 in its embedded product data.
The thing I could not confirm, and it matters
On the captures of the Puma US pages I read, the only listed Elite 3 colourway was flagged “Sold Out” — men’s 312291 in Glowing Red-PUMA White and women’s 312292 in PUMA White-Glowing Red-Mint Melt — while still showing US$240. A second capture of the men’s page did not show that flag, and I could not read a per-size availability grid for either.
So be plain about it: I cannot tell you whether Puma US can still sell you an Elite 3 at all. Fleet Feet’s page shows a size run from US 7 to US 14 in half sizes up to 12.5, but I could not confirm which of those sizes add to cart rather than appearing greyed out. If you are planning around the US$180, load the page and check your size before you decide anything.
The same caution applies across this piece. Each figure was read on 12 October 2026 from the listing it links to, but prices and stock on running retail move in days, not months.
What the extra US$80 buys, on paper
Puma’s own spec sheets put the two closer together than the price gap suggests. Both list a 40 mm/32 mm stack, an 8 mm drop, NITROFOAM Elite, a full-length carbon PWRPLATE and a PUMAGRIP outsole. The Elite 3 page adds an ULTRAWEAVE upper, regular fit, neutral pronation.
The sourceable differences are narrower than the marketing suggests:
- Outsole. Puma’s Elite 4 page states that a “modified outsole provides optimal traction for sleds”. Running Warehouse’s copy describes “thicker, more durable outsole traction and wider geometries” versus the standard Elite 4. That is retailer copy, almost certainly brand-supplied.
- Plate and foam. Dick’s describes the Elite 4’s PWRPLATE as having “an updated shape and flexibility for a more consistent and supportive ride”, over an “all-new NITROFOAM ELITE compound”. Again, retailer copy rather than a Puma technical document.
- Weight. Puma gives 194 g at UK 8 for the Elite 4 and no weight at all for the Elite 3, so you cannot prove a weight saving from Puma’s site. Road Trail Run weighed Elite 3 HYROX samples at 200 g in US 8.5 and 217 g in US 10.5, but that review is from March 2025 and quotes a since-superseded US$230 price.
One number you will see quoted against these shoes does not belong to them. RunRepeat’s lab figures of 173 g for the Elite 4 against 204 g for the Elite 3, along with a measured 37.2 mm heel stack against Puma’s claimed 40 mm, are for the standard road Deviate Nitro Elite, not the HYROX editions, which carry a different outsole. Do not plan a race-shoe purchase on them.
For context on the premium you are paying for the HYROX badge: on Puma’s own Deviate Elite collection page, the road Elite 3 is US$230 and the road Elite 4 US$250 — US$10 under each HYROX version. RunRepeat notes Puma held the road Elite 4 at the same price as its predecessor; on the HYROX line it went US$240 to US$260.
If you are weighing a plated racer for a race with sleds in it, our piece on carbon plates in HYROX and the one on outsole grip on race carpet are the useful background. We also priced Puma’s wider HYROX line earlier.
Resale is not cheaper
StockX shows a lowest ask of US$209 on the Elite 3 HYROX, which comes to US$221 with the marketplace fee and before shipping, against a last sale of US$256. That is above Fleet Feet’s US$180 and it is resale rather than retail — no returns desk, no size exchange.
Outside the US
This is not a global clearance. On uk.puma.com the Elite 4 HYROX is £210.00, stated as including 20% VAT, with no markdown; SportsShoes has it at £188.99 against an RRP of £209.99. I could not read a UK or EU Puma price for the Elite 3 HYROX at all, so I cannot say whether a British buyer has anything like the Fleet Feet cut.
What the UK does show is that Puma discounts by model, not by generation: it has the standard road Elite 4 at £158.00 from £210.00 while holding the HYROX version at full price. In India, by contrast, Puma has the Elite 3 HYROX at ₹15,999 from ₹19,999, flagged as 20% off.
I have not converted the GBP or INR figures into dollars. I could not get a dated, citable exchange rate while putting this together, and a silent conversion is worse than none — treat the foreign prices as indicative of each market’s behaviour, not as a direct comparison.
One more model, and why there is no price for it here
Puma also sells a separate, purpose-built Deviate NITRO Elite HYROX — a different shoe from both of the ones above — which trade press reported as launching on 19 February 2026 through Puma.com, Puma flagship stores, HYROX events and selected retailers, with a full-coverage high-traction PUMAGRIP outsole. I could not open a live Puma product page for it in this session, so I am not printing a price for it. The only figure I had came from a months-old third-party review, which is not good enough for a pricing piece.
What I would do
If the Elite 3 HYROX is the shoe you want for a HYROX start this season, the US$180 men’s listing is the only genuine saving in the US market today, and it is worth acting on while it is there — Puma’s own channel is at full launch price and may have sold through. If you want the Elite 4, the three big US sellers are within five cents of each other, so pick on stock and returns policy.
And if you are buying a plated racer for the first time rather than replacing one, start with how to choose a shoe for HYROX before you spend US$260 on this one.
