If the coupon tenders on the 2026 ARMW005 in your size, US$227.40 is the cheapest route to this shoe anywhere I could price it, and the import channels are all dearer before duty is even counted. But at that price it is level with a discounted Alphafly 3 rather than undercutting it, the Amazon parent listing pools the 2025 and 2026 Ultras, and one variant had no offer at all — so check the model number in the cart before you buy.
Amazon US is showing Li-Ning’s flagship carbon racer at US$227.40 with a 40% coupon, against the US$379–US$400 that shoe databases quote as its list price. Every Chinese-channel route I could price on the same day — AliExpress, two grey-import shops — was dearer than that before a cent of import duty was added.
That is the finding. The caveat arrives immediately after it, and it is a large one: the Amazon listing that carries the US$227.40 line pools two generations of the shoe under a single parent, so what tenders at that price may not be the 2026 model at all.
This is a pricing story, not a review. I have not run in the Feidian 6 Ultra, weighed a pair or put one near a start line. Everything below is what the retail pages said on 18 October 2026.
The headline price, and exactly what it is
On Amazon’s Li-Ning running shoes results page and again on the LI-NING brand page, the listing titled “FEIDIAN 5 & 6 Ultra Men’s Racing Shoes” showed a 40% off coupon and the line “You pay $227.40 with coupon (some sizes/colors)”. Appearing on both pages tells you it is not a search artefact.
It is a coupon price, not a shelf price — a single on-page Amazon coupon, no stacked codes. And Amazon’s own wording, “some sizes/colors”, is doing real work there.
I could not read a pre-coupon list price anywhere on Amazon. None of the pages I opened exposed one. US$227.40 is exactly 60% of US$379, and Run to the Finish quotes the Ultra at US$379, which makes the arithmetic tidy — but that is an inference laid over a third-party figure from a page last updated in July, not a list price I saw on the listing. The shoe database supwell.com quotes US$400. Neither is a live checkout.
The part that should slow you down
The product description on that Amazon listing family carries two shoes. Open variant B0GXYGTLQ3 and the description reads “Item Name: FEIDIAN 6 ULTRA … Model Number: ARMW005” and, separately, “Item Name: FEIDIAN 5 ULTRA … Model Number: ARMV005”. ARMW005 is the 2026 shoe. ARMV005 is last year’s.
So a buyer clicking through to a US$227.40 coupon price is not guaranteed to be buying the 2026 Ultra, and nothing on the parent listing resolves which generation the coupon lands on. The only way to settle it is to put a specific size and colourway in the cart and read the model number back.
That same variant page — Champagne White/Black/Red, US 7.5 — showed “No featured offers available” under Price, with only other sellers listed. At least one size and colour in this family was not buyable at any price that day, never mind at US$227.40. Amazon variant stock moves hourly, so by the time you read this it may have flipped either way.
The seller is the Amazon storefront branded “LI-NING” (merchant ID A1SXX9UD2X43DW). A brand-named storefront is not the same thing as proof that Li-Ning Sports Goods runs it, and I could not verify corporate ownership from the page.
Every Chinese channel is dearer
This is where the comparison stops being close. The usual argument for importing a Chinese super shoe — cheaper at source, worth the wait — does not hold here on today’s numbers.

Prices checked 18 October 2026. None of these is a landed cost — see below.
The AliExpress LINING Official Store item page asks US$497.80 for ARMW005; the US$0.10 “new shopper saving” against US$497.90 is cosmetic. shopnings.com lists ARMW005 in stock at US$309.99 and states site-wide free shipping over US$100 by standard air mail, dispatch in one to two business days and 14-day returns. kicksown.com starts at US$279.00 for Black White.
One figure I am deliberately not reporting as a price: kicksown’s Li-Ning Red colourway page shows US$999.00, which is almost certainly an out-of-stock placeholder, the same trick another Li-Ning grey-import site uses against unavailable variants.
Why I cannot publish a landed cost
Normally this is where the duty maths goes. Not this time, and the reason is worth stating.
US Customs and Border Protection’s own factsheet confirms that from 29 August 2025, imported goods from all countries valued at or below US$800 lost de minimis treatment and became subject to all applicable duties, taxes and fees. Trade advisory GHY ties that to Executive Order 14324, covering all low-value shipments except international postal. A single pair of shoes from China now attracts duty.
What it attracts is another question. An importer-facing duty guide updated in October 2026 describes a stack rather than a rate: a base HTS figure around 12% for typical footwear, higher on some lines, plus Section 301 layers where the code is listed. I have not established which HTS line this shoe falls under, so I am not going to apply a percentage to it and call the result a landed price. We worked through how that stack behaves in the 2026 landed-cost maths for Chinese carbon racers.
It does not change the answer. Even at zero duty, the import route loses to Amazon by between US$50 and US$270 a pair.
One detail for anyone minded to try AliExpress anyway: the LINING Official Store’s Feidian 5 Ultra and women’s Feidian 6 Challenger pages both carry an explicit “Import charges included” line. The Feidian 6 Ultra page did not, at least not on the view I opened — so do not assume the US$497.80 is all-in.
Against Nike and Puma, this is parity
The comparison the databases invite is US$379–US$400 against Nike’s US$295 and Puma’s US$300 list prices, which makes the Li-Ning look expensive, and the coupon makes it look like a steal. Neither reflects what anyone paid on 18 October 2026.
| Shoe | Price checked 18 Oct 2026 | Stated RRP |
|---|---|---|
| Li-Ning Feidian 6 Ultra (Amazon coupon) | US$227.40 | not shown on Amazon |
| Nike Alphafly 3 | US$221.97 | US$295 |
| Puma Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 | US$199.99 | US$300 |
| Li-Ning Feidian 6 Challenger & Elite (Amazon coupon) | US$198.55 | not shown |
| Li-Ning Red Hare 9 Ultra (Amazon coupon) | US$141.55 | not shown |
A discounted Alphafly 3 was US$221.97 on nike.com, under the Li-Ning coupon price. A discounted Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 was US$199.99 on us.puma.com, about US$27 under it. Both are markdowns that can move or sell out by colourway — one Alphafly colourway on Nike’s category page was US$178.97 — so re-open them before deciding.
The Li-Ning figures carry their own asterisk. The Feidian 6 Challenger & Elite listing pools two models under one parent in exactly the way the Ultra listing does, so US$198.55 is not guaranteed to be an Elite either. If you want the cheaper end of the range, we priced the Red Hare 9 Ultra for US buyers separately, and the Red Hare 9 lineup piece explains what separates the tiers.
Returns are most of what the extra money buys
I could not find a US warranty statement for this shoe on any page I opened, Amazon included.
On a different product in that same LI-NING Amazon storefront — a Way of Wade basketball shoe — the buy box read “Ships from Amazon”, “Sold by LI-NING” and “FREE Returns”. I did not read that on the Feidian listing, and I am not going to transfer it there. Open the buy box yourself and check the returns line before you commit.
The grey-import side is weaker and more variable. shopnings advertises 14-day returns, which in practice means posting a pair back to China at your own risk and cost, neither of which the page prices. kicksown’s returns terms I did not read. On eBay, China-based Li-Ning sellers ranged from “Seller does not accept returns” to 14 days with buyer-paid return postage. Our guide to what to check before ordering a grey import covers the rest of that ground.
For a racer costing between US$230 and US$500, bought in a size system you cannot try on, the returns path is a material part of the price difference rather than a footnote.
Sizing: a chart is not stock
The Amazon size chart for this listing family runs men’s US 6 (9.25 in foot length) to US 14.5 (12.60 in), with UK, EU and CN conversions and no width options. Run to the Finish answers “Available in wide sizes? No”.
There is no women’s-specific last in anything I read: Amazon sells it in men’s sizing, the grey-import shops call it unisex, so a woman buying this is sizing across. If that is you, our note on sizing across brands is the place to start.
And the chart tells you which sizes exist, not which are in stock or which carry the coupon. The one variant I opened — US 7.5 — had no offer at all.
On the shoe itself
Briefly, because this is not a review and the numbers are other people’s. supwell lists the Feidian 6 Ultra at 42 mm heel and 36 mm forefoot, 6 mm drop, Super Boom PEBA foam, released 1 March 2026, and weighs its own pair at about 220 g in a men’s US 10.5. Run to the Finish lists 6.9 oz (roughly 196 g) and the same 42 mm stack and 6 mm drop. Those weights are for different sizes and I am not going to average them — treat both as third-party measurements rather than a Li-Ning spec sheet. RTINGS reviewed it in July 2026 as a carbon-plated road racer built mainly for the marathon, which is to say a performance flagship rather than a value play. Worth remembering that a 42 mm plated racer is the wrong tool for a sled if you were eyeing it for hybrid work.
Both the Feidian 6 Ultra and the Feidian 6 Elite are listed here as plain text — we have no checked retail link for either.
Where that leaves it
US$227.40 is the lowest number attached to this shoe anywhere I could price it on 18 October 2026, and the import channels are not close: US$279 at best, US$497.80 from the official AliExpress store, all of them now facing duty that no longer disappears under de minimis.
But the honest version of this story is narrower than “flagship racer, 43% off”. The coupon may be sitting on the 2025 Feidian 5 Ultra. At least one size and colour had no offer at all. And at US$227.40 the shoe is not undercutting the West — it is level with a discounted Alphafly 3 and above a discounted Fast-R 3.
If you want it, open the ASIN, select your size, and read the model number in the cart. ARMW005 is the 2026 shoe. If you see ARMV005, you are buying last year’s at this year’s price.
